Pat Kitching

Pat has been painting and drawing for over 30 years now and her main focus has been on birds and animals both wild and domestic. While her work is meticulous in execution, her approach to her subjects is freethinking and latterly quite experimental. She seems to capture that archetypal expression of posture that typifies the subject bird or animal and at the same time find a view or perspective that is fresh to the eye. Colour and shape are cleverly used to produce an almost abstract aspect to the formal dimensions of her images. Pat exhibits regularly with The Guild of Wiltshire Artists and is a long term member of the Royal Wootton Bassett and District Art Society.
